The Walk of Fame will provide an unprecedented chance to meet leading names from design, comics, toys and other related-industries to all people who value individuality of creative vision, in an exclusive showcase for internationally-acclaimed artists and their works. The Convention’s meet-and-greet and autograph signing sessions with the invited artists and designers will be taken to new heights, with the rare opportunity to delve into the ingenious minds of our guests.

PETE FOWLER (UK)

Pete Fowler is a Welsh artist best known for his artwork for the Welsh band Super Furry Animals. He is a freelance illustrator and "monster creator" inspired by Japanese art. He has also done a number of other projects in the UK and Japan, such as television adverts (Kia Picanto), as well as having art exhibitions all over the world. Pete works in a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, animation, and sculpture.

From the USA, Italian character designer Simone Legno behind the cute and playful, yet sexy and sophisticated world of “tokidoki” will be gracing our shores.
Legno’s own lifestyle brand, tokidoki, features a wide range of popular products, including shirts, jewellery, designer toys and skate decks. The art of tokidoki is also recognized throughout the world from his collaborations with brands such as LeSportsac, Onitsuka Tiger, Hello Kitty and Forinara, just to name a few.

As one of the most popular figures in pop-culture today, Simone was also commissioned to design the creative concept for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in L.A. (2005), as well as the Pool Tradeshow in Las Vegas (2006).

GARY ERSKINE (UK)

Scottish-born comic artist, Gary Erskine has been illustrating for 18 years, contributing character designs and storyboards for television, commercials and games development. Gary has worked on comics such as “Transformers”, “Judge Dredd”, “Hellblazer” and “Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron”. He has also worked on licensed properties such as the Dreamworks characters (including Shrek and Madagascar) and for Sony and occasionally freelances with the award winning Glasgow studio Axis Animation. In 2007, Virgin Comics announced plans to publish a new “Dan Dare” comic (a classic British science fiction comic hero) written by Garth Ennis, with art by Gary Erskine.

Established in 1997, DEVILROBOTS are a design team of 5 from Japan that are well known for their whimsical, yet sometimes sinister characters and designs. Led by the Art Director Shinichiro Katai (pictured left), DEVILROBOTS works on graphic and character designs, illustrations, motion graphics and web design. As the creators of the recognizable TO-FU Oyako!, one of Japan’s most popular contributions to the toy world, DEVILROBOTS has demonstrated how a simple character can be turned into a useful and emotive medium.
